Buzzing with Beauty: Fused Glass Bee Dishes

Recently, I’ve been seeing more and more bee dishes designed to help our busy little pollinators, and it inspired me. With spring just around the corner, I thought it would be the perfect time to share some of my fused glass dishes created with Bees in mind. These are all pressed glass pieces, full of color, and they make such a cheerful addition to any outdoor space. To display them, you can place them in a cut bottle for support—but they truly shine when tucked into your garden, flower boxes, or among your blooms. Not only do they add a beautiful pop of color, but they can also provide a safe little resting spot for bees.

These next bee dishes are little bowls are designed with our pollinators in mind. I added extra cabochons inside each dish to give bees a safe place to land and rest while they drink—because even the smallest details can make a big difference. The green cabochons even glow in the dark, adding a fun and unexpected touch once the sun goes down. It’s a simple way to combine art and purpose—creating something beautiful for your garden while also helping support the bees that keep it thriving.

These next three bee bowls are some of my favorites—they have such fun character and texture. I added glass rings and cabochons to each one, not just for visual interest, but to give bees safe, stable places to land and rest. The first two are pressed glass, with beautiful shapes and depth, while the bottom piece was cast with ridges that create even more little “landing spots.” I love how each one turned out so different, yet all serve the same purpose—helping our pollinators while adding a unique, artistic touch to any garden space.

These last two are on the smaller side, but they’re absolutely beautiful—perfect for our littlest bees. Their size makes them ideal for tucking into flower boxes or small garden spaces, where they can quietly do their job while adding a pop of color and sparkle. Even the smallest pieces can make a difference, and these little bowls are a lovely reminder that something delicate and simple can still be both meaningful and impactful.

These next three are designed differently and sit easily on a table or nestle right into a flower box. Their simple, modern shapes make them versatile, while still adding a beautiful touch of color wherever they’re placed. As with the others, I added cabochons to each piece, giving bees a safe place to land and rest. It’s a small detail, but one that makes these pieces both functional and thoughtful—perfect for helping our pollinators while adding a bit of artistry to your space.

While I was creating these little dishes for the bees, I couldn’t resist making a few pressed glass flowers as well. At first glance, they’re simply bright, cheerful blooms—but if you look closely, you’ll discover a sweet little surprise. Each one has a tiny, fused glass bee on the back, a hidden detail that makes them even more special. It’s a playful nod to the pollinators they’re meant to celebrate—and a reminder that sometimes the smallest details bring the biggest smiles.

Creating these bee dishes has been such a fun and meaningful project for me. I love that they’re not only colorful, unique pieces of art, but that they also serve a purpose—helping support the bees that play such an important role in our world. These little dishes are designed to provide a safe place for bees to land and drink water, especially during the warmer months when natural sources can be scarce. Whether tucked into a garden, placed in a flower box, or sitting on a table, each one is a small way to give back to nature while adding a little beauty to your space. Sometimes it’s the simplest ideas that make the biggest impact.
