There’s something special about spending a summer weekend in the mountains surrounded by incredible artists, live music, delicious food, and thousands of people who appreciate handmade creations. I’m excited to announce that I’ll be exhibiting at the 41st Annual Mountain Arts Festival in Woodland Park on August 8–9 at beautiful Memorial Park. This free festival features more than 70 talented artists from across the region and is one of my favorite Colorado art events. Whether you’re looking for a unique gift, a special piece of art for your home, or simply want to enjoy a fun day in the cool mountain air, this festival is well worth the trip. I’m in booth 14th.
I create Fused Glass artwork all year long, but I only have a few only shows a year so it’s very difficult for me to choose what to bring to a show. Just so you can see how difficult it is I thought I’d show you some pictures of some of my glass artwork. If you see something, you like let me know and I’ll bring it to the show. Or look through my blog posts and let me know if there is something you’d like me to bring. The pieces below are just a few of my new fused glass pieces. I’ll be bringing one of my largest selections of handcrafted fused glass artwork, including colorful dishes, bowls, night lights, plant stakes, wall art, ornaments, jewelry, seasonal décor, and many one-of-a-kind creations that have never been displayed before. Every piece is individually handcrafted in my Colorado Springs studio using layers of art glass that are carefully cut, designed, and kiln-fired at temperatures reaching nearly 1,500 degrees. I love talking about fused glass, sharing the stories behind my artwork, and helping visitors find that perfect piece that makes them smile.
