Several years ago, I created a custom fused glass nightlight inspired by the beautiful stained-glass windows of a church. It became one of my favorite custom nightlights because it combined timeless architecture with the warmth and glow that only glass can provide. Recently, the customer reached out with a wonderful request—they loved the original so much that they wanted three more to complement it. Seeing a piece bring someone so much joy that they come back years later is one of the greatest compliments an artist can receive.
For the three new nightlights, I used different stained-glass window decals inspired by classic church designs, giving each one its own unique personality while keeping them part of the same collection. The customer requested a palette of rich blues and vibrant greens, and those colors came alive beautifully as the light shines through the glass. Every piece was carefully handcrafted, with the intricate black decal work highlighting the flowing arches, petals, and floral details that make stained glass so captivating. Although they coordinate perfectly together, each nightlight has its own distinctive pattern and character.

As I finished the order, I couldn’t resist creating one additional design for myself. Sometimes a custom project inspires a new favorite, and this was definitely one of those times. The extra nightlight has already found a place in my gallery, where it reminds me how a single commission can spark new ideas and become part of my permanent collection.
