Sometimes the smallest pieces of glass can transport you to the most beautiful places! These two adorable little fused glass creations feature completely different landscapes, but both capture a little piece of nature. What makes them even more special is how they’re displayed! I found these really cool floating display frames that suspend the glass artwork inside, making each piece look like it’s magically floating in midair! The first features a beautiful African safari scene with elephants, a giraffe, trees, and birds silhouetted against a soft turquoise sky. I love the little details and how the colors and textures give the scene so much character. The second piece takes us somewhere completely different, to a peaceful mountain landscape with dramatic black mountain peaks, a gorgeous blue lake, and a soft pink and purple sky. I especially love the sparkling blue glass that adds a little shimmer to the water! The black frames really make the colors stand out, and because the glass appears to float inside them, you can enjoy the artwork without a traditional frame hiding its edges. Two tiny works of art, two completely different destinations, and a wonderful way to bring a little piece of the outdoors inside!

I absolutely love these little wooden shadow box frames! They’re the perfect way to showcase some of my smaller fused glass creations and turn them into miniature works of art. The natural wood gives each piece a warm, simple background that really lets the colorful glass stand out. I’ve been having so much fun creating these tiny scenes! Some feature cheerful flowers, colorful murrine, and adorable little ladybugs, while others have whimsical garden designs filled with butterflies and flowers. I even included a beautiful mountain landscape with a colorful sunset and a delicate butterfly on white glass. Each one has its own personality, and I love how the little frames make even the smallest pieces feel special. They’re perfect for displaying on a shelf, desk, windowsill, or anywhere you need a little splash of color. Who says artwork has to be big to make an impression? Sometimes the tiniest treasures are the ones that make you smile the most!

I couldn’t stop with just the square wooden frames! I found adorable hexagon and rectangular wooden frames with rustic rope hangers, and of course, I had to experiment with those too! The hexagon frames are perfect for showcasing my little garden scenes filled with handmade flowers, colorful murrine, and cute ladybugs. I also framed another beautiful mountain landscape with its soft pink and blue sky. For the rectangular frames, I decided to try something a little different by adding colorful, textured backgrounds behind the glass. One features a whimsical little flower garden surrounded by a speckled yellow handmade paper background, while another showcases a colorful fused glass bear against a pretty pink and purple handmade paper background. I love how the backgrounds complement the glass without taking away from the artwork itself! These little frames are such a fun way to turn small pieces of fused glass into unique wall decorations. It’s amazing how a simple wooden frame and a little imagination can give tiny pieces of glass a whole new life!

For these next two pieces, I decided to try something a little different, and I absolutely love the results! Instead of using wood or another material for the background, I used a gorgeous piece of softly swirled cream and pale sand colored glass. The subtle colors and flowing patterns are beautiful all by themselves, but they also make the perfect backdrop for my little fused glass scenes! The first piece features a tropical paradise with a palm tree, turquoise water, lush green leaves, and little white glass rocks along the beach. It makes me want to pack my bags and head somewhere warm! The second piece takes us under the sea, with two playful dolphins swimming through beautiful blue water, a little crab on the sandy ocean floor, and a shimmering silver moon above. I love how the soft, creamy background complements the bright colors of both pieces without overpowering them. The simple black frames finish them off beautifully. Sometimes the background is just as much a part of the artwork as the glass creation itself!

For these next three pieces, I decided to use a beautiful, soft blue textured paper background, and I just love how they turned out! The background has a delicate, almost handmade paper appearance with subtle variations in color that add depth without taking attention away from the glass. The first piece features a gorgeous Tree of Life silhouette against a shimmering blue and purple background with touches of gold. The second piece brings us back to a tropical paradise, complete with a palm tree, turquoise water, and lush green leaves. Finally, my playful dolphins and little crab make another appearance, looking right at home against the soft blue background. I especially love how the same glass pieces can look so different simply by changing what is behind them! The black frames provide a beautiful contrast and really bring everything together. It’s amazing how the right background can transform a tiny piece of fused glass into a beautiful little work of art!

As you can see, almost any small fused glass creation can become a beautiful piece of framed art! I had so much fun experimenting with these different frames and backgrounds, and I couldn’t resist framing a few more of my little treasures. From a colorful heart filled with flowers and murrine to an adorable paw print, a tiny flowerpot, and a delicate butterfly, each piece has its own special charm. I even framed one of my little fused glass pocket crosses, adding a sparkling dichroic glass accent in the center. And of course, I had to include one of my favorite flower creations, a cheerful pot of red flowers complete with a cute little ladybug! I love how the natural wooden frames give some pieces a warm, rustic feel, while the black frames and textured backgrounds create a completely different look. The possibilities really are endless! Best of all, these little framed treasures make wonderful gifts and are a great way to display small pieces of art that might otherwise be tucked away in a drawer. I’ve always believed that even the smallest piece of fused glass deserves to be admired, and now I’ve found another fun way to show them off!
