Little Tea Dishes That Make Tea Time Special

I’ve written several posts over the years about FestiviTea and the fused glass tea dishes I create and sell there, and I absolutely love this little shop. It’s welcoming, cozy, and full of charm — the kind of place that instantly makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. Margo, the owner, is one of those rare people who works incredibly hard while also leading with kindness and care. She truly supports local artists, and I’m so grateful to have my fused glass dishes in a space that values handmade work and community as much as she does.

I recently brought some of my newest fused glass tea dishes over to FestiviTea, and I’d truly love it if you’d stop by and support this wonderful little shop. I just love making these tea dishes, and these newest ones make me especially happy. In this first group, the color is layered on top, with the hand screen-printed tea saying on the bottom, creating so much depth and interest when the light hits them. Aren’t they beautiful? I’m always excited to see how each one turns out, and I couldn’t be happier with how these came together.

The next three tea dishes have lots of color on the bottom, with sweet little tea images layered on top. I love the contrast this creates, and how the design feels both playful and elegant at the same time. To me, these pieces are the perfect mix of pretty and functional — just the right size for a teabag, spoon, or small treat, while still adding a bit of beauty to everyday teatime.

The next four tea dishes have the color along the sides and the tea sayings on the right, which I think adds a little extra interest. I love how this design frames each piece and lets the light move through the glass in a different way. It’s a simple change, but it gives the dishes a slightly different personality while still keeping them practical and fun to use.

These next two tea dishes are completely different, but that’s what makes them so unique. I love when a piece takes on its own personality and doesn’t try to fit into a set. They’re a little unexpected, full of character, and a perfect reminder of why I enjoy experimenting and letting the glass lead the way.

Of course, I love these little tea dishes so much that I made three more and kept them for my gallery. I just can’t help myself — I love everything about them, from the sweet sayings to the lovely colors. They’re small pieces, but they bring so much charm and happiness, and they make even the simplest tea moment feel a little more special.

These little fused glass tea dishes remind me why I love creating functional art so much. They’re simple, cheerful pieces, but they add warmth, color, and a bit of joy to everyday moments. Whether they’re holding a teabag, a spoon, or just sitting pretty on a table, they’re meant to be used and enjoyed. Many of these dishes are available at FestiviTea, and if you’re nearby, I hope you’ll stop in, say hello to Margo, and support a small shop that truly celebrates handmade work and community.
