I absolutely love creating fused glass jewelry, and one of my favorite enhancements is incorporating silver into my designs. It adds elegance, brilliance, and a beautiful transformation when paired with Alchemy Glass—specifically, Silver to Bronze reactive sheet glass. When layered with silver and clear glass, the alchemy magic begins: the side touching the silver transforms into a rich golden bronze, while the opposite side remains a luminous silver or light gold hue. I wanted to showcase both the front and back of each pendant in this post because each side tells a different story—both equally stunning. To finish them off, I added sleek pinch bails that complement the dual-tone beauty perfectly.

I also created an earring and pendant set using the same beautiful alchemy and silver technique. What’s really fun is that while I’ve paired each set to match, the designs are interchangeable—you can easily mix and match these earrings with any of the pendants shown above. Whether you want to keep a coordinated look or mix metals and styles for something more eclectic, the pieces work beautifully together. It’s wearable art with endless options!

In addition to the silver jewelry pieces I made with clear glass, I also created another stunning collection using opaque glass. While the shimmer of silver still beautifully interacts with the reactive glass, these pieces have a rich appearance compared to the lighter, translucent feel of the clear glass group. The contrast between the silver and the vibrant opaque backgrounds creates striking, elegant pieces that are bold and unique.

In addition to using silver foil, I love experimenting with other materials like mica, copper foil, and painted fusible paper to create even more variety in my fused glass jewelry. Each of these adds a unique shimmer or texture to the glass. Below, you’ll see a collection of pieces that showcase these materials—some created on transparent glass for a light-catching, glowing effect, and others on opaque backgrounds for bold contrast and richness. The diversity of materials and base glass really shows how versatile fused glass can be!

Creating fused glass jewelry is one of my greatest joys—especially when I get to play with different materials like silver, mica, copper, and specialty glass like silver-to-bronze alchemy. Each combination brings something new and unexpected to the final piece, and I love how no two are ever exactly alike. Whether it’s a shimmering pendant, a bold earring set, or a subtle piece with metallic highlights, each item tells its own story. I hope these creations inspire you to explore the beautiful alchemy that happens when glass, metal, and imagination come together.
