I love making little fused glass trinket dishes. Sometimes the smallest pieces of art are the most useful! I’ve been busy creating adorable little fused glass trinket dishes in two sizes, 3″ x 3″ and 4″ x 4″, and I just love how versatile they are! These colorful, one-of-a-kind dishes may be small, but they have so many uses! They’re perfect for holding rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, loose change, keys, paper clips, buttons, or other little treasures. Use one as a spoon rest, a tea bag holder, a place for wrapped candies, or even a pretty accent on your desk, dresser, nightstand, or bathroom counter. They also make wonderful little gifts for birthdays, holidays, teachers, coworkers, or just because! Whether you use them for something practical or simply display them as miniature works of art, these little dishes prove that beautiful things really do come in small packages! This first group of dishes are ones I’ve made in the past.

These two little dishes show just how beautiful decals can be on black glass! Both started with a glossy black base, but each has its own unique personality. The first features a delicate purple floral decal that is subtle, yet so pretty! Depending on how the light hits it, the intricate design almost seems to appear and disappear against the black background. I love its understated elegance! The second dish features a beautiful white Tree of Life design that really pops against the black glass. I love how two completely different decals can create such different looks. Sometimes a little contrast makes a big statement, while other times a soft, subtle design is just as stunning!

These next two 3″ x 3″ dishes also feature decals, but this time the decals are the focal point of each piece! The first dish has a beautiful blue floral design surrounded by an intricate decorative border, all set against glossy black glass. I love the delicate details and how the soft blue stands out against the dark background. The second dish is a little more colorful, with a gorgeous floral and butterfly decal accented with touches of gold. The combination of white, deep purple, and gold gives it such an elegant look! I especially love how the gold details catch the light. Both dishes are wonderful examples of how a single beautiful decal can transform a simple piece of glass into a miniature work of art!

These next two little dishes couldn’t be more different, and that’s one of the things I love about fused glass! The first dish is made with vitrigraph hollow cane in beautiful shades of yellow, orange, and amber on a white glass background. I love how the glass flows and overlaps, creating swirls of color and interesting patterns. It almost looks like brushstrokes in a painting! The second dish combines copper and a decal for a completely different look. The copper creates a unique reddish-purple design beneath the glass, while the bright red LOVE decal, complete with a little heart, adds a sweet finishing touch. I especially like the soft, almost frosted appearance of the background and the little flecks scattered throughout. Two completely different techniques, two unique little dishes, and both full of personality! That’s the fun of experimenting with fused glass—you never know what beautiful combinations you’ll discover!

These next two 3″ x 3″ trinket dishes are so different, but both are absolutely adorable! The first features a sweet little angel holding a bouquet of flowers, surrounded by soft shades of white and blue. I love the delicate details in her dress, her little wings, and those beautiful curls! It has such a peaceful, gentle look and would make a lovely gift for someone special. The second dish is bright, cheerful, and full of personality! Colorful flowers in shades of orange, blue, and turquoise dance across the white glass, creating a fun, whimsical design that just makes me smile. I love how the colors complement each other! One dish is soft and sentimental, while the other is playful and vibrant. Both are wonderful examples of how these tiny little dishes can bring a bit of beauty and happiness to everyday life!

Who knew something so small could be so much fun to create? Each of these little fused glass dishes has its own personality, from elegant decals and delicate flowers to colorful vitrigraph cane and unique copper designs. I love experimenting with different techniques, colors, and patterns, and these 3″ x 3″ dishes are the perfect size to try something new! No two are exactly alike, and that’s what makes handmade glass so special. Whether you’re looking for a little dish to hold your favorite jewelry, a thoughtful handmade gift, or simply something pretty to brighten a corner of your home, there’s a little dish for everyone. Sometimes the smallest creations bring the biggest smiles!
